CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) --The President of the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police is urging members to vote now in the mayor’s race.

FOP President John Catanzara, in a video message, said there are "11 days to save the city."

He said there has never been an opportunity like this for police officers and that the decision is clear.

"You either have somebody who supports the police in Paul Vallas or you have somebody who hates the police in Brandon Johnson."

Catanzara did not have kind words for Brandon Johnson. "He is the nightmare not only to this membership, but to the safety of every single person who lives in the city of Chicago."

Catanzara urged people to vote early.
