CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Rockford police are investigating an out-of-the-ordinary vehicle theft over the weekend.
Rockford police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the theft of a van from a funeral home, and the van had an adult body in it. The incident happened Saturday, and, Sunday, Rockford police tweeted that the van had been located in Chicago, but the body was no longer in the van. Police said they are working with law enforcement partners to continue their search.
There is no word yet on any possible suspects nor whether they had any idea the van they were stealing had a dead person inside.
