CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A shooting investigation shut down a portion of the Stevenson Expressway during the morning commute.
Illinois State Police closed the Inbound Stevenson from Damen to the Dan Ryan Expressway for nearly a half hour following an earlier shooting incident.
According to ISP, a car was shot at just before 6 a.m. while in the Inbound Stevenson near Damen. The victim kept driving, eventually pulled over on the Outbound Dan Ryan near 31st Street and then informed police.
No injuries were reported.
State Police concluded their investigation right before 7:30 a.m. and reopened all lanes.
