(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start to summer, but there is still time for high school and college students who are still looking for a gig.
Michelle Reisdorf, jobs expert for Robert Half here in Chicago, said the service industry is definitely looking for workers.
"The service industry has been so short. Definitely lots of opportunities for summer work," Reisdorf told the Noon Business Hour on Tuesday.
She added the high demand for summer workers means they will earn a decent amount of spending money before they go back to school.
"What the students will find is that they will get the best summer pay rates they have seen in a long time just because of demand," Reisdorf said.
