(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A sustainable fuel company has chosen Illinois as its new home.
Gov. JB Pritzker announced Avina Clean Hydrogen Inc. will build an $820 million sustainable aviation fuel facility in southern Illinois.
The company is still working to finalize the exact location and will create 150 new full-time jobs.
The governor said Avina will produce up to 120 gallons of green aviation fuel that will be available for airports to use.
Illinois offers a tax credit to airlines who purchase the green fuel.
