(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – The Taste of Chicago is coming back, with a newly released food and performance lineup.

This year's event has been shifted to the weekend of Sept. 8. The Taste normally is held in Grant Park in July, but the NASCAR street race took over the area last month.

As in year’s past, the fest will be clustered around Buckingham Fountain. The 2023 version of Taste will feature a number of new restaurants, in addition to familiar staples.

It will also include three stages for musical performances from artists including Masters of the Mic: Hip Hop 50, Lupita Infante, Proyecto Uno and Whitney. Organizers say more entrances will help the flow of visitors.

“Since 1980, Taste of Chicago has been a beloved tradition showcasing our city’s incredible culinary and cultural offerings,” Mayor Brandon Johnson said in a news release.

Admission for the taste is free and vendors now accept cash and cards. For more information, click here.
