CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- All appears to be back to normal at the Ogilvie Transportation Center West of the Loop after police responded there Saturday morning.
In a statement, police said that a witness observed a shell casing inside the train station.
"It was learned that an unknown offender discharged a firearm at a door while inside the above location," Chicago Police said. "SWAT made entry into the building and did a search of the building with negative results."
Metra said all UP-N, UP-NW, and UP-W inbound and outbound trains were halted near Ogilvie due to police activity and "extensive delays" are still possible.
No injuries were reported and no one is in custody at this time.
