CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- You will need to be vaccinated if you want to see the Chicago Bulls or Blackhawks at the United Center this year. The United Center announced new COVID regulations Thursday morning.
The United Center is requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID test to attend all events, including Chicago Bulls games, Chicago Blackhawks games, and concerts.
The policy will take effect for all future events and will remain in place until further notice.
The United Center said in a statement that because final NBA and NHL health and safety guidelines have yet to be announced, these protocols are still "subject to potential league requirements, and the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks may communicate additional details to their fans as the season approaches."
All arena and team employees will be required to follow the same entry process. The United Center continues to update all ongoing health and safety protocols which can be found online at unitedcenter.com/healthandsafety.
The first Chicago Blackhawks preseason game is Sept. 29. The first Chicago Bulls preseason game is Oct. 5.
