
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Federal Aviation Administration has canceled the ground stop affecting All United Airlines flights that were paused due to an "equipment outage", according to the latest bulletin from the agency.
In an update, United Airlines said that flights have resumed and that it "has identified a fix for the technology issue" that it was experiencing.
United Airlines had asked the FAA to pause the airline’s departures nationwide and the FAA also said that United Airlines and subsidiaries were "unable to contact their dispatch through normal means" at the time.
Congressman Eric Swalwell of California was aboard a United flight and said in a tweet that as a member of the house cyber subcommittee, he is working on getting more information on the ground stop to see if it was related to a cyber threat.
