CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Complaints about late or missing mail appear to have spurred improvements in delivery service in one North Side neighborhood.

Sixty percent of packages were late or missing, according to the neighbor poll Pauline Scott conducted over the winter.

She said years of frustration over postal service delivery boiled up as she waited for license plates and city stickers. Months later, she told CBS2 Rogers Park has a regular carrier and delivery but she’s not done talking about it with neighbors.

“I do plan on doing the survey again in about four to six months to see where we’re at, right before the holidays,” Scott said.

The U.S. Postal Service didn’t directly respond to the station’s request for information about what has changed.

It has set up a customer service hotline for Mt. Greenwood and Morgan Park to address delivery issues in those South Side neighborhoods.
