
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — If you were driving along Randall or McLean roads or anywhere in between Tuesday afternoon, you may have noticed a bovine that didn’t belong.
The South Elgin Police Department received numerous calls of a cow running down Randall. It ended up in a nearby field.

Like true cowboys, three South Elgin Police officers, the cow’s owner and a few volunteers wrangled the cow and safely loaded it onto a trailer.
The heifer then made its way back home without any injuries.
The owners said it was the first day they had her, so she was probably just “exploring her surroundings."
