(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — One month after a Rockford car salesman was abducted and killed, a Berwyn woman has been charged with his murder.
Rosie Chavez faces first degree murder and felony kidnapping charges. The 46-year-old was accused of kidnapping Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez during a test drive and later killing him.
His body was found on Feb. 13 — three days after he was killed, according to autopsy results — in an alley in Little Village, some 80 miles away from the dealership where he worked.
The Cook County medical examiner said the 36-year-old died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The organizer of an online fundraiser for Osorio-Gonzalez said they are devastated by their loss.
Chavez was arrested March 22 and is due in court next week.
