CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Shoppers at a west suburban mall will soon have the chance to drink and browse.
Naperville-based Tapville Social is in the final stages of securing a license to open a self-service beer and wine kiosk at the Fox Valley Mall. Tapville will have a license that allows people to carry their drinks through the mall.
"If you're shopping at the mall, you can grab a beverage and walk around. It's really a safe way to enjoy craft beverages," said Tapville Social CEO Joseph Tota.
Tapville Social operates a similar kiosk at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont.
Customers at the self service kiosk have their age verified by an employee. The customer gets an RFID card that tracks the number of ounces poured.
Tota hopes to have the kiosk up and running at the Fox Valley Mall in late March or early April.
