Continuing our efforts to raise awareness and keep the conversation going around our joint mental health initiative, I’m Listening, Audacy's Mike Adam is joined by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) CEO Robert Gebbia to discuss this very important collaboration.

"We're excited... because it's a way to reach millions, millions of people with the message that it's important to take care of our mental health," says AFSP's Bob Gebbia about our ongoing I'm Listening partnership and this year's annual 'We Can Survive' concert held in support. "Alone we can't reach nearly as many people as we can by working together, so we're excited to work with Audacy on this and to get the message out: 'It's OK, let's take care of our mental health.'"
"I think the most important thing," Gebbia adds, "is we become smart about our mental health. Learn about it, have a conversation about it, and then connect them to resources. There's a great new resource that's available to all of us -- it's called 988 -- it's the suicide and crisis hotline. At AFSP.org, our website, there's plenty of resources. Resources for how to help someone who may be struggling..."
Bob also spoke about AFSP's new campaign, Talk Away The Dark, which "goes through a whole scenario of helping someone and how to have a conversation about that."
"We also have resources for those who have lost a loved one," Gebbia adds. "And the last thing is how to get involved. We have chapters in every state, and D.C., and Puerto Rico. There's lots of resources... all at AFSP.org."
