If you need an all-star roster of guests on your late-night talk show, who are you going to call?
Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson have been making the rounds, appearing on “The Tonight Show” Monday to chat with Jimmy Fallon about the upcoming movie “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.”

The three spoke with the host about their experiences filming the original “Ghostbusters” movies (1984’s “Ghostbusters” and 1989’s “Ghostbusters II”) as well as what it means to them to see a new generation give their take on the classic premise.
Aykroyd shared that after reading the script for “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” they “thought ‘this is the right time’” to reunite.
Murray chimed in, noting that director Jason Reitman “is the son of the original director Ivan Reitman. He had his own take because he grew up as a child of the Ghostbusters sort of in a way. He had something he thought would work as a good story and we all agreed that he got it.”
He also teased the 44-old filmmaker, telling Fallon that “he was a pain in the ass” on the set of “Ghostbusters” as a child. Aykroyd piled on, joking that “he was directing back then.”
The trio had cameos in the 2016 “Ghostbusters” reboot starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, but will return to their original roles in “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” which will also feature original cast members Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts reprising their roles.
“Everyone that has seen it says that they cry at the movie, so it should be an extremely successful comedy,” joked Murray.
Hudson shared that jumping back into the series made him get a little teary-eyed as well. “When I got in the suit and Bill and Dan and seeing Sigourney, it was almost spiritual. I was almost in tears, it was great.”
Also starring Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, McKenna Grace, and Finn Wolfhard, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” will premiere in theaters on Friday.
