VIDEO: Eyeglasses stolen off face of subway rider, 68, in Prospect Heights

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A thief snatched the eyeglasses right off the face of a subway rider in Prospect Heights, police said Wednesday.

The NYPD released video showing the suspect running down a platform at the Eastern Parkway–Brooklyn Museum station after the theft last Thursday afternoon.

The 68-year-old victim was on a southbound 3 train approaching the station when a man grabbed his glasses and took off with them, police said.

The victim was not injured during the run-in.

In another glasses theft just months ago, a 43-year-old woman was beaten by a man who stole her eyeglasses on a subway platform in Midwood.
