NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who stabbed another man in the head at Tompkins Square Park on Wednesday.
The attacker stabbed a 49-year-old man in the head near Avenue B and 7th Avenue around 2:08 p.m., according to police.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
Officials believe the man will survive his injuries.
Law enforcement is searching for a man in a black jacket with a red bandana.
Police have not yet made any arrests, and an investigation into the attack is ongoing.
