The 37-year-old victim brushed against one of the suspects in front of a deli on 145th Avenue, near 243rd Street, in Rosedale around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday.
In response, the pair—a man and woman—followed the victim down the block, where they repeatedly kicked and punched him, police said.
The victim’s tooth was knocked out during the beatdown, according to police, who said the duo also stole his cellphone and wallet.
The suspects were last seen fleeing in a white vehicle eastbound on 145th Avenue. Surveillance video shows them outside the deli.
