NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man who allegedly carried out two anti-Muslim attacks in Queens — including one that left a woman with a broken nose — has been taken into custody, the NYPD said.

Naved Durrni, 30, of Jamaica, was arrested on Tuesday, police said. His attorney information wasn't immediately available.

Police said a 31-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were at Liberty Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard in South Ozone Park around 9:15 p.m. on June 20 when Durrni came up to them and made anti-Muslim statements.

After he started harassing them, Durrni allegedly punched the man in the back and grabbed the woman's hijab before punching her in the arm, the NYPD said.

Both victims suffered pain and redness, but refused medical attention, police said.

About an hour later, around 10:15 p.m., a 64-year-old man and 56-year-old woman were near Inwood Avenue and 105th Avenue in Jamaica when Durrni made anti-Muslim statements again, police said.

He then punched the woman multiple times in the face and head before fleeing, according to police.

The woman suffered a fractured nose, as well as pain, redness and lacerations to her head and face, police said. She was taken by EMS to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

On Sunday, meanwhile, a 38-year-old woman was in front of a building on Sutphin Boulevard, near 94th Avenue in Jamaica, when Durrni followed her, flashed a knife and threatened her while making anti-Muslim statements, the NYPD said.

Durrni fled south on the boulevard after threatening the woman, police said.
