NEW YORK -- The New York Stock Exchange is reportedly set to require the COVID-19 vaccine for access to its trading floor.
CNBC reports that the mandate will go into effect on Sept. 13, with exemptions being granted for medical or religious reasons.
The exchange, located on Broad Street in Manhattan, has already required that people visiting to ring its world-famous bell or for IPOs be vaccinated, according to CNBC.
The NYSE floor closed as the pandemic took hold on New York in March 2020, and moved to fully electronic trading.
It reopened about two months later, with Gov. Andrew Cuomo ringing the opening bell and a totally new look — including plexiglass barriers between traders.
