NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A manhunt intensified Thursday for a suspect wanted in two random shootings in the Bronx and Philadelphia, as the U.S. Marshals Service joined local police in the search.

Saulsbury was identified Wednesday as the man police are searching for in the pair of shootings.

Zulfigar Alvi, a Sunoco gas station worker who was allegedly shot in the head by Saulsbury on Nov. 22, is still being treated at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

At the Boston Road station in Allerton, there are prayers for the 59-year-old, and a sign in the front window asks for donations to a GoFundMe for him.

Kevin, a longtime customer, called the shooting "senseless."

"I grew up in the Bronx, and it's sad because I did go through stuff as a kid," he added. "I've gotten mugged before and stuff like that. It's just sad."

Saulsbury is wanted for the shooting of a 37-year-old Philadelphia Parking Authority officer at point-blank range on Nov. 25. Timothy McKenzie, the victim, was hit in the ear and shoulder but also survived.

Police in New York and Philadelphia believe Saulsbury, who lives in West Philadelphia, is still in the city and may be hiding with a friend or family member.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS or the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
