NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Thursday released a photo of a group wanted for violently robbing teen girls in the East Village last month, authorities said.
At approximately 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, a 15-year-old girl was with another 14-year-old girl in the vicinity of 70 Pitt Street, when four unidentified females approached them and repeatedly punched them in the face and head.
The 15-year-old girl's cellphone dropped to the floor and the suspects then picked up the cellphone and fled the location in a blue sedan, to parts unknown.
Both victims suffered bumps and bruising to the face area and refused medical attention on scene.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
