NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a worker died in a construction related accident in Midtown on Friday morning, authorities said.
It happened just after 9:15 a.m. at 34 East 35th Street near Madison Avenue, cops said.
According to officials, two construction workers were inside of a cherry picker truck when they struck a beam.

EMS pronounced one of the men, 45, dead on the scene.
A 35-year-old man was also taken to NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue in stable condition.
An investigation remains ongoing.
