The team recently sent out an email to fans as they are "finalizing details for the 2022 schedule." A two-question survey ask fans about what time they'd prefer mid-week games (Monday through Thursday) start, depending on the month.

The options for fans to select in both questions are 6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:15 p.m. or no preference. One question is about games in April, May and September, while the other is about games in June, July and August.

During the 2021 season, the average MLB game lasted 3 hours and 10 minutes. So, a 7:15 p.m. game was ending around 10:25 p.m. If the game had started at 6:15 p.m., you'd be looking at many games ending before 9:30 p.m.

Here's how the average length of an MLB game has changed over the years (courtesy of TheAthletic/MLB):
1981 – 2:33
1991 – 2:48
2001 – 2:58
2011 – 2:51
2021 – 3:10
