Major League Baseball is about to return with a 60-game season set to begin in July for 2020 season.
The shortened season comes with its fair share of challenges for both players and managers, none of whom have ever experienced this kind of year.
Atlanta Braves players and coaches will report to Truist Park on Wednesday to get their summer training started.
How different is Braves manager Brian Snitker's job, and decision-making process, going to be in this shorter season?
Brian Snitker's job is going to be very unique, @PaulByrd36 tells @randymac81 & @TBM929. His managerial decisions will be crucial and he's going to be in a situation he's never been in before in 20+ years of managing baseball.
— 92.9 The Game (@929TheGame) June 30, 2020"You've never done this before in your life. You have coached baseball for 30-40 years like Brian has and you've never entered a situation like this," Paul Bryd of FOX Sports Southeast told Andy and Randy.
"It's almost like September 'rush for the playoffs' baseball," said Byrd. "Games are going to be twice as important and you're going to see people who are going to panic and make too many moves and over-manage."
