As the Atlanta Braves get set for a six-game home stand, beginning with a three-game series against the Twins, the look to win their second series of the season as they have continued to struggle since the start of the season as they got off to an 0-7 start and sit at 5-13 overall and last in the National League East standings.

On Friday, while previewing Friday night’s matchup, 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell shared their thoughts on the Braves’ struggles and discussed where they believe blame should be placed in regards to the club’s rough start, with Bell noting his thoughts on why he believes some of the issues plaguing the Braves should fall on the shoulders of the front office.

“We love Alex,” Bell started off as he began to share his thoughts on some of the moves made by Braves’ President, Baseball Operations and General Manager, Alex Anthopoulos, he believes have not benefitted the team, including releasing Mets’ pitcher, Griffin Canning, who the Braves released after acquiring him in a trade with the Angels.

“He definitely blew this one,” Bell said has he explained why he believes allowing Griffin, who has 21 strike outs and allowed 18 hits and eight runs with a 3.43 ERA through 21 innings pitched, is a move which may haunt the Braves as they have struggled with starting pitching this season. “This didn’t work out well but again, if Canning gets lit up like a Christmas tree the next few outings, then ok, but right now, he’s actually paying dividends for the Mets,” Bell said.
