CBS NFL Draft Reporter Ryan Wilson stopped by “Dukes & Bell” on Friday to discuss the upcoming draft and all things NFL. He believes the Justin Fields dream for some Falcons fans is alive and well according to his latest mock draft.

“It’s funny because CBS Sports has me do a mock draft every week. I’ve been going back and forth on this. It usually falls on a QB and it usually makes Falcons fans pretty angry. This week I have them taking Justin Fields, a fantastic player out of Ohio State. Incredibly athletic, a slightly smaller version of Cam Newton but already a better passer coming out of college.”

Wilson believes that Fields can sit behind Matt Ryan for a year and then take over as QB 1.

“I don’t see a situation where Matt Ryan isn’t on the roster and starting in 2021, but in 2022 you can certainly revisit that and you have your QB of the future on the bench.. He probably needs a year of seasoning anyway on the bench.
