Voice of the Atlanta Falcons Wes Durham joined Dukes & Bell for his weekly appearance on the show and talked about where he thinks quarterback ranks among the Falcons top five offseason needs.
When asked about bringing in another quarterback this offseason to compete with Ridder.
“I don’t know that, that’s a really good question but here’s another thing too, if you’ve got to build your priorities where’s quarterback it’s not one I can tell you that,” Durham said. “I want a fire breather, I want to solidify the offensive line, I may want a knuckle sound safety who can crash the box, stuff like that. Two fold here, not just in your draft capital but what do you wanna go after in your free agency, where do you wanna make this team get better and right now I don’t think quarterback is in your top three or maybe top four. It may be five or six and I’m not even in the room with Terry Fontenot and I’m just looking at where you are.”
Durham told the guys what he thinks is a bigger priority than a quarterback.
“I can tell you this would you be wanting a number two receiver more than you want a quarterback? I would.”
