The Georgia Bulldogs are back in the mix after Tuesday’s reveal of the College Football Playoff rankings and seedings. The Bulldogs are now ranked No. 10 and seeded No. 11 for the CFP. Assuming they win their final two games of the season, the Dawgs will more than likely be in the playoffs.

While most Georgia fans should feel good about where the Bulldogs are currently positioned, unfortunately, there may be room to make a case the CFP committee did not get things right with their most recent rankings.

“From the outside looking in, it seems like Georgia’s dominant win over Clemson on a neutral field in Week 1 is not even discussed,” former NFL and Georgia Bulldogs punter and The Steakhouse co-host Drew Butler said on Wednesday as he joined Steak Shapiro and Sandra Golden to share his thoughts on Tuesday’s CFP reveal.

As he continued, Butler noted Clemson, who Georgia defeated to kick off the season and has been ranked throughout the season, still has an opportunity to reach and win the ACC Championship Game. However the committee, “isn’t even talking about it,” referring to the Bulldogs win over the Tigers, which he believes should be factored into the conversation surrounding Georgia’s ranking and seeding.

“Here’s the bottom line, if Georgia does beat UMASS and beats Georgia Tech and somehow, someway is not seeded to host a first-round playoff game, the committee is a total joke," Butler said. "It makes no sense."
