While the Georgia Bulldogs are coming off of a win over Texas in which they displayed how dominant they can be and should still be considered the best team in the SEC, they may still have to prove themselves to be the standard of the conference when they take on Florida Saturday.

“You’re going up against a team that’s got nothing to lose, that is going to play crazy football,” Mike Griffith of DawgNation told Steak Shapiro on Tuesday as he joined him on The Steakhouse to preview the next installment of the annual showdown between the two programs. It can be a tough matchup the Gators present for Georgia despite the Dawgs having won the last three meetings.

As their conversation continued and Shapiro asked Griffith to share his thoughts on whether or not the Gators have the talent to poise a real threat to the Dawgs, Griffith noted the absence of Georgia safety Dan Jackson and nickel back Joenel Aguero could play in favor of Florida.

“You take two starters out of anybody’s secondary, a secondary that by the way lost three top-100 draft picks off last year’s team, so do they? Yeah,” Griffith said in response to Shapiro.

With Jackson and Aguero having to sit out the first half on Saturday, Florida freshman quarterback will look to build off of his 259 passing yards against Kentucky in the Gators’ last outing.
