Is this sophomore LB set to be UGA's next breakout star

The Georgia Bulldogs are sending eight players to the NFL Draft from the defense that won the National Championship last season and have to figure out how to replace that level of talent.

Kirby Smart will have to replace the contributions from that defense without many obvious candidates, but DawgNation's Mike Griffith has his eye on a LB that could prove to be a star this season.

"Jamon Dumas-Johnson is special. I love the way this guy hits, he's got a presence" says Mike Griffith. "It's going to be tough to fill Nakobe's shoes, he's not Nakobe, but he hits like a tank, kind of a cross between Quay Walker and Dean."

Jamon Dumas-Johnson is a 6'1, 225 pound LB who had 21 tackles to go along with 2 sacks and an interception during the 2021 season.

UGA is sending Lewis Cine, Nakobe Dean, Travon Walker, Quay Walker, Derrion Kendrick, Channing Tindall, Devonte Wyatt, and Jordan Davis to the NFL Draft and there's a decent chance that five of them go in round one.
