When Alabama and Georgia met for the SEC Championship on December 4, 2021 in Atlanta, Alabama RB Brian Robinson Jr. was dealing with a leg injury sustained late in the Iron Bowl victory over Auburn.
In that game, Robinson was limited to just 56 rushing yards and 16 receiving yards. Against Cincinnati a week ago Robinson was much better with 204 yards rushing.
Now that he's healthy Robinson may be a focal point of Alabama's offense, especially after they lost WR John Metchie in the SEC Championship Game, but former Georgia Tech RB Roddy Jones doesn't think he ends up being the X-Factor for Alabama.
"These two teams typically stop the run against each other and force them both to be passing teams," explains Roddy Jones. "I think Georgia stops the run against Alabama. Brian Robinson, if he's going to have an impact, it really need to be in blitz pickup protecting Bryce Young."
