BRADENTON (93.7 The FAN) - The 2019 season could be described as injury-plagued for the Pirates, but as it turns out, we didn't even know all of the injuries.
Second baseman Adam Frazier met with the media before the first full team workout of the spring and revealed two injuries he suffered last year that nobody knew about.
"I was a little banged up coming out of spring," Frazier told us. "Then got hurt in the first game of the year...but just played through it, kept my head down."
Those injuries were a broken pointer finger suffered in spring that held him out for three weeks and a slight shoulder separation he then suffered on Opening Day in Cincinnati.
Despite those injuries and dealing with back spasms, Frazier still led the team in games played with 152 and takes pride in that.
"I try to shoot for all of them really. Now that I've done that many games, I know what it takes and what I can do. I think to get all of them in is not a stretch by any means."
