Andrew Fillipponi is feeling the heat from Pitt fans after he said he loved the Panthers going into their game against Xavier.
But it was pretty much all Xavier for most of the game with the Musketeers winning 84-73 to advance to the Sweet 16.
Poni must’ve been getting hammered on Twitter, because he did something he almost never does, he responded to his critics, telling them to get off his back for the loss.
“It’s not my fault, I don’t play for Pitt, I didn’t miss any shots,” said Poni. “There’s no such thing as a jinx.”
“I had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome or result of Pitt-Xavier, so get off my back,” added Poni.
As The Fan Morning Show pointed out, they believe that Poni snapped.
“that’s the first time he’s ever put out a video or even tweeted back at somebody, I’ve never seen him tweet back at anything that he tweets that someone has a comment to, he’s feeling the heat,” said Dorin Dickerson.
“He’s shook,” said Chris Mack, who added he doesn’t believe in jinxes in sports.
