Steelers corner James Pierre signs 1-year deal to stay in Pittsburgh

Cornerback James Pierre is returning to Pittsburgh on a one-year deal.

Undrafted in 2020, Pierre signed with the Steelers the summer of that year has started in eight games for Pittsburgh over five years, appearing in 81.

He has three career interceptions, five forced fumbles, 11 passed defended and 117 total tackles of her career.

Pierre is also a staple on special teams, playing 63 percent of the snaps last season.

With five corners under contract, Pierre adds more depth on the defense and special teams.
