PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Think the Steelers missed with signing Mason Rudolph and not Justin Fields, in the words of Pat McAfee Steelers insider Mark Kaboly Rudolph is ‘easily’ better than Fields.

Kaboly points to Fields career record of 14-30 and the number of turnovers, 31 interceptions and 44 fumbles, and said there were several would-be turnovers that Fields was able to recover just last year with the Steelers.

“We just don’t know what a 17-game Mason Rudolph looks like and I think that interests me a lot more than what we’ve seen from Justin Fields,” Kaboly told The Fan Morning Show.

“I think he’s a pretty good quarterback.”

Rudolph is 8-4-1 as a Steelers starter with a 63.5 completion percentage, 3,085 yards with 19 TD and 11 interceptions with an 86.9 quarterback rating.

Fields was 4-2 as a Steelers starter last year with a 65.8 completion percentage, 1,106 yards, 5 touchdowns, 1 interception, 93.3 quarterback rating and five rushing touchdowns.

All that being said, Kaboly told Adam Crowley and Dorin Dickerson he would prefer Aaron Rodgers over Rudolph.
