New Britain, Conn./WTIC Radio - The president of Central Connecticut State University says she's okay after opening a letter she says released a suspicious substance at her home.

President Zulma Toro says the letter did not have a return address.

Toro says she didn't require any medical attention.

In a statement, she thanks police and first responders, as well as support from the CCSU community.

Toro said "while I can’t control everything that comes my way, I can control how I respond to them."

The investigation is ongoing.
