Update: the Padres have officially announced this trade:
AJ Preller has reportedly struck again, this time making a deal with the Orioles to receive 1B/DH Ryan O'Hearn and left fielder Ramon Laureano. O'Hearn has an .837 OPS with 13 home runs, while playing first base and some outfield, as well as DH for the Orioles. Laureano has an .884 OPS with 15 home runs. Laureano has a club option for $6.5 million for 2026, while O'Hearn will be a free agent at the end of the season. The additions of Laureano and O'Hearn should add significant fire-power to the Padres' struggling offense.
