San Diego State lost the Mountain West Conference Championship Game to Utah State 46-13 on Saturday, as the Aztecs played their worst game of the season. Starting QB Jordon Brookshire failed to lead the Aztecs to a touchdown, and multiple special teams miscues doomed SDSU.

After the game, Brady Hoke praised Aztec fans for showing up to support the team, but lamented the fact that the team did not accomplish its goal of winning the conference. Hoke added that most teams would like to be 11-2 like SDSU.

Caden McDonald said that the team didn't execute well enough in any phase of the game, and needed to play better as a team. Jesse Matthews expressed frustration with how the team played, adding that the Aztecs made too many mistakes and missed too many opportunities.

Now the Aztecs must wait to find out which bowl they will play in.
