Do not let anyone say advertising doesn’t work. Blockbuster saw an incredible 200% spike in sales following the airing of their Super Bowl commercial Sunday evening!
Not bad for a store that has only one remaining location in the United States.

Sandi Harding, General Manager of the last remaining Blockbuster in Bend, Oregon, told TMZ that the store saw “twice the number of online merch orders than all of last week combined,” which she attributes directly to their Super Bowl ad.
Understandably, the store’s sales just aren’t what they used to be. Though they rent out DVDs like the old days, most of their sales are driven by merch, like trucker hats and sweatpants.
This spike in sales couldn’t have come at a better time for Blockbuster, either, as summertime is usually their bread and butter, as they rely on tourists to check out their store and buy merch.
