You may not know the name, but you definitely remember the sound effects.

Michael Winslow has built a career on creating all of these incredible sounds, using only his voice. You may remember his work in the Police Academy films, Spaceballs, and Gremlins.

Well last night, Winslow surfaced again during the auditions round for the current season of America's Got Talent. The judges couldn't even feign anonymity with Winslow, with AGT host Terry Crews stating, "I don't know what to say, man. You are a legend to me."

Winslow took some time away from show business in 1993 to take care of his children after the death of his wife, and explained to the AGT judges that he was appearing on the talent show because it "is the place for me to show the world I still have something to offer, I still have some sounds to make. There's still room for a little more."

Winslow scored four "Yeses" from all the judges, and easily advanced to the next round.

The final America’s Got Talent Season 16 auditions will take place next Tuesday, followed by a two-week hiatus due to the Olympics. The live shows will kick off August 10 following their conclusion.
