Camp at Falls Park

A new festival in downtown Greenville, one that aims to be family friendly, is hoping to get campers out to spend the night at Falls Park for a good cause.

Camp the Falls is a one-day festival organized for the Rotary Club of Greenville that teaches kids all about camping and wilderness, while also featuring lots of fun activities.

Kids can sample and take part in cooking camping foods, they can participate in outdoor activities, and appreciate the live music, all while their parents take part in silent and live auctions to raise money for the Rotary Club.

But the biggest prize, according to festival organizers, is the raffle during which one of eight campsite are being offered for one night only.

Each site comes with a tent, camp chairs, and sleeping bags for a party of four.

Winners will also receive gift cards to get dinner downtown along with brunch the next day. Definitely a step up from canned beans and hot dogs.

The festival itself is on September 8th, and winners will get to camp out the evening of September 14th.
