Need some at home entertainment for your kids?
Today we are learning and playing with paper mosaics.

Use scissors to cut out colorful shapes from the magazines and/or construction paper.
Children of different ages can interact with this activity at their level.
For young children, practice separating the different color pieces into piles.

For children who are starting to learn their numbers, practice counting how many there are of each color.
Children who are capable of using glue and tape on their own can create a self-portrait.

Older children can use the paper mosaic pieces to practice addition and multiplication.
For example, if I add the number of black pieces and the number of orange pieces, how many pieces will I have?
Older children can also compete to see how many pictures they can make using the paper mosaic pieces.

Check back for more at home entertainment throughout the week.
