Getting ready to take down your Christmas tree? Well, maybe not quite yet! But what to do with the tree once all of the baubles and bows are removed?
The Grinding of the Greens! Greenville County wants to help you dispose of your tree in a very eco-fashion.
From now until the 15th of January, folks can bring your real Christmas trees to any of recycling centers throughout the County as part of the "Grinding of the Greens" program.
The evergreens will be ground into mulch, which will then be available for free at the Twin Chimneys Landfill.
This recycling effort keeps our trees from ending up in area landfills and the free mulch for residents is a big bonus!
