A man was arrested early this morning after striking a person with a machete.
Deputies reported 55-year-old Danny Ray Britten threatened a man at a home before swinging a machete at him.
The victim attempted to block but suffered two "severe lacerations", one of which cut to the bone.
Deputies said they found Britten hiding a laundry room clothes pile of a nearby home.
Britten is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
