A North Carolina man is now facing drug charges after a traffic stop, during which police found meth in his vehicle.

This happened on Boylston Highway on Tuesday.


The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office announced that Arden, North Carolina resident Jose Mario Garcia-Vazquez was pulled over.

During the traffic stop, Garcia-Vazquez’s vehicle was searched, and that’s when about five ounces of methamphetamine was found.

Garcia-Vazquez was then arrested, and is facing charges of trafficking meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He’s currently being held at the Henderson County Detention Center. His bond has been set at just over $20,000.
