Shots were fired outside a home in Anderson.
Deputies are now investigating after an EMS was called out to attend to person who was reported to be ill on George Merck Road shortly before 5:30 pm on Wednesday.
When the EMS got to the scene, however, they found the ill person in question had actually been hit by at least one gunshot.
After being airlifted to the hospital, the victim is now in stable condition, although complications remain.
The investigation is now in its early stages.
No suspect has been named.
