A sheriff's office in South Carolina has made a three-hour documentary on the anniversary of an ambush that killed one officer and wounded three others.The York County Sheriff's Office is releasing the program on its YouTube channel in three one-hour segments starting Tuesday __ one year since the domestic abuse 911 call that set in motion the events of that night.Sheriff Kevin Tolson says his officers felt more comfortable talking to a fellow sheriff's office employee and wanted to be able to tell their stories in their own words.University of South Carolina journalism professor Kevin Hull says more agencies are bypassing the media this way. Hull says the danger is the public misses the independent voice of a reporter who can ask tough questions.
