A Sunday morning shooting in Anderson claimed the life of an 11 year-old girl and injured two others. Anderson Police were called to a home on West End Avenue around 1:30AM regarding a shooting.
When authorites arrived, they found three gunshot victims. All three were taken to AnMed Health Medical Center, where an 11year-old girl identified by family members as Ja'Naiya Scott died.
The Anderson County Coroner's office determined the shooting took place at the home where the victims were found. The girl's death has been ruled a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
The shooting is under investigation by the Anderson County Coroner's Office and the Anderson Police Department.
