Media release provided by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office Monday.
On August 29, 2021 the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident on Woodmont Circle in Anderson.
Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene and located the victim, Ricky Bowers, in the back yard of the residence deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Detectives have charged Dustin Marett with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Crime of Violence.
This incident is still being actively investigated. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, no other information will be provided at this time.
